The PGA TOUR and Myrtle Beach share an appreciation and enthusiasm for the great sport of golf reflected in the number of people who visit our tournaments and the Grand Strand area.
Myrtle Beach has been a prominent golf destination for years. A number of our players have been hired to design golf courses in the Myrtle Beach vicinity. The Tournament Players Club of Myrtle Beach, opened in 1999, was designed by famed architect Tom Fazio with an assist from consultant and SENIOR PGA TOUR player Lanny Wadkins. From 1994-2000, the SENIOR TOUR Championship was held here, first at the esteemed Dunes Golf and Beach Club and then at the TPC of Myrtle Beach in 2000.
We hope that The PGA TOUR Guide to Golf, an officially licensed publication of the PGA TOUR, will be a thorough guide to this area, whether youre vacationing or simply enjoying a casual round of golf.
