Laterra Resort Homes & Spa at World Golf Village graces our spring 2003 Jacksonville, FL edition of PGA TOUR Guide to Golf |
The PGA TOUR is proud to make its home on Northeast Florida, an area that shares our organization's enthusiasm for the great sport of golf. Our national headquarters have been located at Ponte Vedra Beach since 1979. A significant number of players on all three TOUR's also make this area their home bacause of its excellent year-round golf and scenic coastal beauty.
The PGA TOUR has held a tournament here since Patrick Doyle won the 1918 Jacksonville Open and continues to do so today with the prestigious PLAYERS Championship. The Tournament Players Club at Sawgrass, located adjacent to PGA TOUR Headquarters, has become one of the game's most famous golf sites.
Timothy W. Finchem, Commissioner - PGA TOUR
